thankful for difficult "see you soon's"

Within the last week, I have had to say "see you soon" to 5 of my best friends.
Three of them, I won't see until December, when I am home from my adventure abroad.

This makes me excited, because it means that London quickly approaching.
I have also been a little sad, because I wish I could see these faces more often every day.

However, I am beyond blessed to have to endure these see-you-soon's, because it just shows that I have amazing family and friends in my life. Because it is so hard to give that last hug and say "See you at Christmas! Can't wait to Skype, FaceTime, send postcards..." I realize how blessed I truly am to have such wonderful, supportive, and amazing people in my life.

She never fails to make an ordinary day hilarious.
 Love this girl, and I've missed her like crazy since she left for Berkeley a couple weeks ago! Summer has not been the same without Megan Carley!
{By the way, we did not plan to match!}

We dropped Christine off at SSU last week.
 It has been so weird that classes at Sonoma started this week, and I am still enjoying summer.
It is also really strange to be at home, and doesn't feel quite like summer without the best sister ever!
{I'm visiting her in a couple weeks--so excited!}

Miss HARVARD GRADUATE SCHOOL left for Boston yesterday.
I am so proud and excited for Kate, but will miss her so much! Good thing she's the best pen-pal ever.
  {Seriously though, if you want a good letter full of intense detail, ask Kate Pfaff to write you one}
 I can't wait to exchange letters between Boston and London!

One of my best friends since the 1st grade.
Adriana is the definition of a true friend! I only saw her three times this summer, which might have totaled 3 hours maximum. I love her to pieces and know that she is always here for me, no matter what.

This guy leaves today for Sacramento.
 I've spent a lot of time with Grant this summer, and will miss him like crazy! Good thing he's only a little over an hour away--I have a feeling I will be seeing him soon :)

the countdown has begun.

I will be here in 22 days. Is this real life?
When I first applied to study abroad in London, I was unsure about going.
I was "just going to apply to see what happens"
Now here I am, a few short months later, with a to-do list that seems to be miles long.
Am I excited? Extremely.
Am I nervous? Very.
Am I ready for an adventure? Absolutely.
