casual stroll through the queen's residence.

Today, ISA took us to Buckingham Palace!
Well, back up. This morning, Chelsea and I went to Harrods and I saw even more of the store that I did not see the first time! It's insane, and I love it.

After a fun morning of walking around Harrods and looking at pets, jewelry, dresses, and food, we headed over to Green Park to meet the group for Buckingham.
The Palace was beyond what I imagined. When walking into every room, I couldn't help but say to myself "Oh my gosh. Wow."
Every single stateroom we saw (19 were open to the public) was ornate, over-the-top, and stunning.
I had one of those moments where I had to stop and think to myself: I am walking through the Queen's house in England.
There was a special diamond exhibit for the Queen's jubilee, and seeing the coronation jewelry that all queens wear during their coronation ceremonies {and what Queen Elizabeth wore for her celebration this June} plus the crowns of the Queen was so fun. It hurts my head to try and fathom how much those pieces of jewelry must cost. It also made me really want to find a reason to buy and wear a crown made of diamonds. I better start saving.
Unfortunately, we could not take any photos of the inside. However, we did manage to have a mini-photo shoot outside after the tour! The sun was setting when we walked out, which made for some beautiful photos.

Tomorrow, we are going to Canterbury and Dover. It will be nice to get out of the fast-paced city, and explore some of the small, quaint areas of England.
