moments in london.

This week, it hit me that I actually don't have a lot of time here.
I keep walking by different restuarants, seeing cathedrals, talking about tours I want to do and things I want to see and I always say,
"We'll get to it...we have 3 months!"
Well, now I have about two months to cram everything in.
This makes me happy, and sad. But that's a whole other topic
that we won't talk about right now.
Since this realization, I have been more aware of how I spend my time.
I want to make the most of my short time in London.
This has resulted in a couple random adventures and lots of exploring!
Here are some photos and stories from this past week:

Chelsea and I went to Harrods last weekend and found this bottle of water for only 30 pounds. Great deal! The bottle was embellished with Swarovski crystals. Sold. Please, please sense my sarcasm.

I also went to the Victoria and Albert museum last weekend to see the ball gowns exhibit with Chloe {aka Claud} Megan, and Ciara. Basically, we saw beautiful gowns from the 1950's up until the present that were worn by important people. It was so fun! We weren't allowed to take photos, but I was sneaky and got a couple! {I couldn't help myself--the dresses were gorgeous!}

After our class on Tuesday, Katie and I decided to go on a spontaneous adventure. {We talked over lunch when we decided that we need to make the most of our time, hence my epiphany, and now all of this!} We headed to South Kensington to try and find the Parent Trap house. We found it! However, we could only see the huge pieces of plywood that covered the house. They are doing "work" on the front of it {whatever that means!} I hope it is done before I leave and that it doesn't look too different!
Our adventure to the South Kensington area wasn't ruined by this, though. We saw some GORGEOUS flats and we actually were able to hear birds chirping! I have not heard that sound for far too long. It is true suburbia in South Kensington, and I plan on going back to explore even more!

Yesterday, I went to The National Gallery with my class. Just when you think you've seen London, you fall in love with another area. I have never really been to Trafalgar Square {so weird since it's so touristy!} but from the minute I walked into the square, I was in love. It is so beautiful and lively!
After class was over, I went to lunch with Chelsea, Jessica, and Stephanie and we bought Pret take away {to-go} and ate on the steps in Trafalgar Square. I guess you could say we had a pinic!

Last night, ISA took us to see "Rock of Ages"
This musical was...raunchy. Slightly uncomfortable at times. But still super fun! I mean the singing and dancing was so great, like musicals always are!
It gave me chills and it made me so excited to see
more musicals while I am here!
I am planning on seeing:
Phantom of the Opera
Billy Elliot
and the Lion King
The shows here are beyond incredible...I am going to stop talking about it, because I could just ramble and ramble about this subject.
At the end of the show, the main character said "THANK YOU LONDON" as everyone was standing and cheering. Chills again. Another "Oh my...I am really in London" moment.

Today, I walked around and explored a little bit on my own. The most exciting part: finding these little gems in the Disney store.

Please note: Minnie is the queen.

And Mickey is a guard.

Donald and Mickey guards stand at the front of the store to greet Disney fans!
